Description

Stitch a beautiful tulip of your own with our Black Tulip PDF embroidery pattern set, available for immediate download. Three floral patterns in one download!

“ ... all their thoughts were engrossed by that great black tulip, which was looked upon to be as chimerical as the black swan of Horace or the white raven of French tradition.”
- Alexandre Dumas, “The Black Tulip”

What is more dramatic and mysterious than the black tulip? Dumas’ characters must race to discover a true black tulip in 17th Century Holland and win a fortune. This set of three small hand embroidery patterns - the first in our series of literary flowers - pays tribute to this striking and unique flower. Of course, your tulips may be any color of the rainbow!

This set includes all three embroidery designs shown. The three patterns include a long, elegant potted tulip, a detailed flower, and a Delft pottery-inspired motif.

Your patterns will be available to download immediately as a PDF file with four pages. The three small patterns are laid out as shown as well as in reverse, so it will be easy for you to transfer by whatever method you prefer.

All of our patterns include full color and stitch guides, including a key with thread types and color numbers.

These three patterns are designed to be stitched to the following dimensions:

Tulip in pot: 2” wide and 8.5” tall
Detailed tulip: 3.75” wide and 5.75” tall
Delft motif: 4” wide and 2.5” tall.
