Deluxe Diamonds is a fun pattern that makes three sizes of quilts. String quilting is fun and easy - a great beginner project that can use scraps or purchased yardage. The current sample uses the Park Avenue collection by Island Batik, and it is gorgeous!
The key to this quilt is to divide your fabrics into lights and darks and use them on opposite sides of your sewn squares. With a contrasting strip down the center of your block, the diamonds really come to life! With the addition of a pieced border you have a delightful quilt that is as much fun to use as it is to make!
The three sizes included are 58 x 55 lap size, 58 x 85 twin size, and 86 x 89 queen size.
