Add touch of whimsy to your kitchen or bathroom, or give the perfect gift to a jar-loving friend! Our unique process gives these melted jars such a nice shape and creates the most adorable spoon rests, soap dishes or desk dishes.

Think wedding gift, bridesmaids gifts, birthday gifts, hostess gift, housewarming gift,or gift to self! They probably don't have one of these.

When Bernard first pulled one of these out of the kiln in 2010 I was amazed! He had been experimenting with mason jars and was so excited to show me his idea. I immediately said, "spoon rest!" I just love mine.

We were the first to come up with this way of melting mason jars that gives a sleek, authentic jar shape, so if you'd like to buy from the inventor, you've come to the right place!

The vintage blue pint is made from an antique jar from 1937 or earlier. The other colors are modern mason jars.

Dimensions: approximately 3.5" x 5.5" (all the colors are made from pint jars)

OUR STORY
Bernard is a mason jar nut and loves to experiment with new ways to use them. He came up with our special melting process in 2010 when we were featured sellers. They sold well. Unfortunately, health issues kept him away from the kiln until the fall of 2013 when we brought them back and they really became popular!

We have a very high standard of quality and a lot of production experience and capacity, so you can be sure that you will get the very best looking melted mason jar with exceptional customer service from us. Actually, my family thinks I'm crazy for all the jars I reject as "not good enough." But our feedback says it all.

Choose your color: modern blue, clear, lime green, or vintage blue. See the second photo to compare. The green melted jar is in a photo by itself, but is the same size (pint) as all the rest.

Handmade + Old Glass = One of a Kind
All our vintage aqua jars are from 1937 or older. Back then, jars had a lot of variety in thickness of glass and shades of aqua. That's why they are so much fun to collect! But that also means they behave differently in the kiln. And because of their age (at least 76 years old), they sometimes have flaws. We try our very best to give you a melted Ball jar that you will love, but if you don't love it, just let us know and we will try very hard to make the perfect match.

Please let us know if you need an item by a particular date and we will do all we can to get it to you on time.

WHY??

We started slumping our blue Ball jars because many were too scratched or damaged to sell in our store. And in the spirit of the Ball Brothers themselves, we couldn't throw anything away. So we began slumping jars, creating new and beautiful items out of our "seconds."

SOME BLUE JAR HISTORY...

Ball Brothers of Muncie, Indiana made their vintage blue glass jars 1914-1937. The color came from minerals in the Lake Michigan sand and the oxygen content of the furnace. Even though the glass varied in color from green to aqua to blue, no one has been able to reproduce Ball's antique colors after 1937--not even Ball themselves! They revived the blue jars in 1975-76 for the US Bicentennial (and now from 2013-2015), but even that blue is not quite the same. The new green jars are also part of their colored jar revival.
