When Bernard first pulled one of these out of the kiln in 2010 I was amazed! He had been experimenting with mason jars and was so excited to show me his idea. I immediately said, "spoon rest!" I just love mine.

We were the first to come up with this way of melting mason jars that gives a sleek, authentic jar shape, so if you'd like to buy from the inventor, you've come to the right place.

The vintage blue pint is made from an antique jar from 1937 or earlier.

Ball Brothers of Muncie, Indiana made their vintage blue glass jars 1914-1937. The color came from minerals in the Lake Michigan sand and the oxygen content of the furnace. Even though the glass varied in color from green to aqua to blue, no one has been able to reproduce Ball's antique colors after 1937--not even Ball themselves!
