Below are some things of what not to do with your epoxy resin piece to prolong its life and enjoyment after your purchase. While epoxy resin is hard when cured, if left in direct sunlight will yellow and/or warp, crack and soften. It is heat sensitive and should not be left on a stove, microwave or come into contact with hot items. I personally use an epoxy resin that is food grade and safe to come into contact with food, but food items should be room temperature. Epoxy resin items are not microwave, dishwasher or oven safe. Do not put epoxy resin pieces in freezing temperatures, as epoxy resin will become brittle and crack.

Epoxy resin when cured creates beautiful pieces of functional art in your space and is durable when cared for. It finishes like a plastic/acrylic, making it more durable than glassware (but it can still crack or chip when accidents or improper care happens).
