Measures 9" high x 8" wide. Brightly hand painted metal tropical fish bathroom toilet paper holder.
This tropical fish toilet tissue holder was hand cut from a 55 gallon recycled steel drum, in Haiti, using a hammer and chisel. The various details of the gecko were pounded out into a bas-relief, so that the details are more visible. A rust preventative solution is applied to the steel. The frog is then hand painted in rich colors. It is finished with clear varnish. Similar to the painting of the Mexican Talavera pottery pieces.
We have customers who use this piece to hold a small guest towel, scarves or belts, in addition to it being a toilet paper holder.
