This is Long Point Lighthouse- at the very tip of Cape Cod. Every year Provincetown has a regatta and all the beautiful big sailboats come into town for the race. This sailboat: The Black Dog from Martha's Vineyard rounded the point and I don't know if it won, but it was too pretty not to paint! And with a little artistic license I changed the time of day from morning to dusk, then added a bit of magic sparkles on the waves ...just because.
Medium: finest grade of acrylic paints
This is painted on a thick, sturdy gallery wrapped canvas- extra wide width
