Sister pattern to my Heart of the Lotus armwarmers. Instructions given for S, M, L in two weights of yarn; sport and fingering with sizing tips including lengthening and shortening and tier variations. If you knit them on larger needles they will be slouchy...imagine them in something airy like Kid Silk Haze knit on two sizes larger needles. Merlot colored pair are shown in madelinetosh Pashmina in Venetian. Extra long variation (photo 4) is shown in madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light in Sequoia.

Finished measurements for Women’s S (M, L)
Circumference at upper leg: 9.5 (10, 10.5) inches, with 3 inches of stretch.
Circumference at ankle before increasing for Lotus Blossom: 7.5 (8, 8.5) inches with several inches of stretch.
Overall Length: 16.25 inches
Stem Length: 10 inches

GAUGE
Fingering weight: 29 sts/40 rounds = 4 inches in St st worked in the round
Sport weight: 25 sts/36 rounds = 4 inches in St st worked in the round

MATERIALS

Fingering weight
• Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light: 100% superwash merino, 420 yds/100g in “Sequoia”: 1 skein for small and medium; 2 skeins for large and/or long sizes.
• US 2/2.75mm needles for working in the round: DPNs, long circular or 2 circulars as you prefer, for all versions.
Sport weight
• Madelinetosh “Pashmina” (75/15/10 merino/silk/cashmere; 360 yds per 117g skein); 1 skein for small and medium sizes, 2 skeins for large and/or long sizes.
• US 3/3.25mm needles for working in the round: DPNs, long circular or 2 circulars as you prefer, for all versions.
All versions
• Tapestry Needle
• Crochet hook: US B or C (size not critical)for provisional cast on
• Two yards of scrap yarn for provisional cast on
