This was an unissued / "New Old Stock" Parts Roll, which has found a new life as a bicycle tool roll. The roll has been modified to better suit its new purpose, then waxed with our home brew canvas wax. A pair of straps have been fabricated from discarded fire hose and new, black powder coated buckles, to allow you to attach this roll to your frame, handlebars or saddle. Mount it to an English style saddle, with loops, in the traditional way using the provided up-cycled straps or mount it to a standard saddle by strapping it up between the rails and tying off the leading end to the seat post using the provided para-cord. You could also just dunk it in your bottle cage or toss it in your bike bag...

Since these are created from new old stock they all look pretty much the same. We have decided not to photograph each roll. All of my bags tend to be unique. My aim is to re-purpose military surplus bags into versatile and durable bicycle bags. I prefer previously used (issued) items because they tend to have markings, field repairs and alterations that tell a story. I repair (when necessary) and retrofit these packs to create durable and functional cargo carriers. Some bags have unnecessary hardware or are “too far gone” and they become donors. Donated parts float around my workbench and eventually find new purpose on a different bag. I try not to throw anything useful away. I literally lay awake at night thinking through my designs. I strive to add reinforcement at possible wear points and find innovative ways to quickly and securely attach and detach these products from a bicycle. I do my best to anticipate any situation. I conspire with fellow cyclists, and I welcome your suggestions as well.
