Custom and personalized orders

We would love to create something unique and special for you. On our mugs, we have added names or initials in the exposed clay or with glaze. Depending on what you choose, there may be a 2-4 week timeframe for personalization. However, feel free to ask and we will respond quickly with a more accurate timeframe!

Each mug is slightly different since they are hand-thrown on the wheel and not made from a form or mold. A 12 ounce mug will hold at least 12 ounces but may be closer to 14 ounces. The same goes for the 16 ounce mugs. They will hold at least 16 ounces but may hold more.

These handmade mugs are microwave and dishwasher safe.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Our boxes are purchased from EcoEnclose, a company that specialized in recycled and recyclable packaging. (Or, they are reused - something we love to do!) We do use plastic bubble wrap also as we have not yet found a suitable, sustainable substitute (say that 3 times fast!) that protects the mugs as well as the bubble wrap.

Wholesale availability

We do offer wholesale options for our beeswax wraps. If you think they would be a good fit for your store, please message us here or email us at shorproducts@gmail.com. Right now we are unable to offer wholesale orders of pottery. If this changes, we'll update this answer!

What do your mugs feel like?

It is hard to buy a mug without holding it first! Each person is drawn not only to a design or color, but to the weight, size, handle, shape, etc. of each mug. We know this description is not the same as getting to hold one in your hand but here goes: Our mugs are on the heavier side, feeling very sturdy and solid. The handle has a built in thumb rest for ease of holding. The Satin Blue color has a softer satin/matte finish while the others have a shiny/glossy finish.

Right handed or Left handed mugs?

On a right-handed mug the main design will face outward when you hold the mug with your right hand. We do this so if there is exposed clay on the design it does not feel weird while sipping your coffee. If you would like to view the sunrise on the mug while holding it in your right hand, purchase a left-handed mug. And vice versa. We try to keep enough in stock to have something for everyone!
