Description

This Hummingbird was the second jewelry sculpture I did, that was in 1993. It was carved in wax then cast in silver using the lost wax method, than a mold was made. The piece took me quite a few hours to finish, the wax was brittle and I kept breaking the wings and had to keep repairing them with a hot wax pen, basically a wood burning tool. As you can see it is finished with great detail on both sides. Determination kept me going. It is 1 by 3/4 inches or 25 by 18mm. It can be done in 14K gold also, beautiful.

Thank you for taking a look.
