Highlights
This is the 3rd Volume of "The American Library of Art, Literature & Song" by Henry Copper, LL D. of Lehigh University. It was originally published in Philadelphia by Carson, Stewart Co., in 1886. I believe this volume was re-bound, as there is a receipt pasted down to the title page. Judging by the receipt and binding however, I believe the re-binding occurred in the late 1800s or early 1900, They remain, as the original binding was, in quarter leather spine and tips w/ dark blue cloth covered boards. The lettering on the spine is gilt, as are the page edges. All original pages are contained in this volume. The corners and edges of the leather are rubbed. The corners are only mildly bumped. The pages are tanned from age. It is a beautiful stately library volume that measures 11.25" tall by 8.5" wide and it's about 1.75" thick. It's a beautiful book for your antiquarian library.

This Shop has great magazines and they are in good condition always
Unfortunately, I realized before the bed was delivered, this beautiful antique bed that would have been a stunning addition to my guest bedroom, needed a lower mattress. Beds crafted that long ago didn’t use 12-17” mattresses as are sold now. (And why do they need to be so thick and heavy when a narrower mattress served all of us just fine?!) If my family didn’t have back issues, I would happily bought this bed. And throughout this experience. Travis couldn’t have been more gracious, helpful, and honest. If this bed works for your needs, grab it. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. And Travis’s site will be my first choice whenever I search Etsy for some antique. He is the consummate and most delightful seller I’ve experienced in all my years buying from Etsy.
