This piece started out on my wheel here in my Pittsboro studio. It is 10 inches tall including the spout and holds about 12 oz of your favorite extra virgin olive oil. It is glazed with several of my green crystalline glazes, and the inside is glazed with a clear liner glaze. It comes with this cool weighted pourer that opens when you tilt the bottle and closes when it is upright.

All of the crystalline glazes that I use are original glazes invented myself. Each crystalline glazed piece is unique in that they cannot be duplicated. The crystals are never the same from one piece to another.

I use high fire porcelain, and fire to a peak temperature of 2350°F – aka cone 11. What this means is that the porcelain is fully vitrified and watertight even without the glazes. Because of the way that I fire and the glazes that I use, all my work is fully functional – watertight, lead free, and microwave safe. Dishwashing may etch the glaze surface over time, so I recommend hand washing.
