BREEDING AND WOOL
The wool comes from my flock of sheep of different breeds (Shropshire, Lacaune), raised on our farm in Fossat in Ariège, and from those (Suffolk / Merino) of our neighbors, Oded and Mireille. They are located 5 minutes from our farm, in the neighboring town: Artigat.
All our sheep live outdoors all year round, our farms are certified organic and we are under the Nature & Progrès label.
TREATMENT
The wool is washed, carded and spun locally in Ariège, at the spinning mill in Niaux, 50 km from the farm.
The wool is not superwash treated.
COLOR
The ecru color is natural and comes from the nuances of the sheep's fleeces.
The colors are obtained by natural plant dyeing, with wild or cultivated plants. The dyeing is done by hand on the farm.
Colors vary from screen to screen and are always slightly different between the screen and reality.
TECHNICAL PARAMETERS
This is a rustic and warm wool. It is soft and well defined which brings out the patterns of textured knits very well. Its size is suitable for large pieces, accessories designed to be warm or for people who like it to go quickly!
Recommended needle size: 6. Always make a swatch before starting your project. Also take into account that the wool will take on more loft after washing, so don't hesitate to knit a little loosely.
Ball of approximately 50 grams, approximately 65 meters.
For ethical and environmental reasons, the wool is not superwash treated.

I love those soles. I added them into my slippers and you can feel the difference. It's even better if you use them barefoot. It is nice and warm. I love the fact that they are made in France. They are well worth the price.
