Is it possible to make jewelry with your horse's hair? How do I send my hair? Is there a risk that my jewelry will be made with the hair of another horse?
It is of course entirely possible to make jewelry with the hair of one or more of your horses! You need a clean, untangled lock of horsehair, definitely coming from the tail, at least 15-20 cm long and the thickness of a little finger.
You can send the horsehair by simple or tracked mail to the address mentioned at the bottom of each page of the site. Remember to indicate your postal address on the back of the envelope in case of problems with the post office. Once you have received your hair, you will receive a confirmation email, remember to check your spam just in case!
There is no risk that your hair will be mixed with hair from another order, there is no need to worry. All orders are processed one by one and separately, so no horsehair errors are possible.
Is a horsehair key ring resistant and durable over time? How to maintain it?
Horsehair jewelry is known for its durability. Horses have naturally strong and durable hair, which makes these jewelry strong. You just need to avoid exposure to water as much as possible and not force the key ring and its tips. By Maudi horsehair jewelry is handmade in an artisanal manner. In the event of a defect, contact the designer to see what can be done to repair or replace the jewelry.
There is no special maintenance for the jewelry. If after a while the hairs start to dull a little, you can apply one or two drops of cooking oil to the hairs to revive their color a little.
