Sympathy card for a lost cat, whose owner remembers Earl the Dead Cat.... or cat lover collector of all things vintage cats! SIZE: about 4" tall and 5 1/2" long with fancy ripped edging in a wax sandwich bag! Made from an advertisement for Earl the Dead Cat found in the newspaper or magazine back in the mid 80s.
Unfortunately the envelopes didn't make it through time travel and were all stuck closed. If you'd rather have an envelope, instead of the wax bag let me know and I'll make one out of brown craft paper for you.
Front says: Earl the Dead Cat--Let's you say farewell to smelly cat food, litter boxes and live cats that shed and go into heat. Earl is a cuddly, understuffed, and very dead toy cat complete with his own death certificate. Earl the Dead Cat, the last cat you'll ever need.
Inside: Goodbye Kitty

HOARDER HISTORY: Look what I found in my hoard recently! "Out of Context" cards I made in the 80s! 1985 to be exact. I think this might be a good sympathy cat card for the right person with the right humor!
Another one like it, but Mmm ahh ohh at VintageToGoEasy:

Made on fancy ripped edged stationery, arranged colorful origami paper from my childhood, wax paper and Earl the Dead Cat advertisement from my assorted paper hoard collection from 1985!
Instead of using glue, I sandwiched the collage pieces between wax paper and ironed it together and then glued it to the card. It would be a simple surprise at each ironing!
Hoarder History: I vaguely remember counting these back then and I think I made at least 100, I want to say 800, but that sounds way to crazy hoarder, however, I'm not sure how many have made it through time travel.
