5 Green Cheeses Kit is a great and simple introduction to fresh cheese cheesemaking. No fancy or specialized equipment needed! It provides you with all the necessary supplies, tips and recipes for making cheese in your own kitchen. It includes enough of the ingredients to make at least 30 batches of cheese - goat cheese/chevre, ricotta, queso blanco, paneer and yogurt cheese or labneh (one batch is large fist sized cheese, all cheeses on the pictures are half that size).

It is the ultimate starter kit waiting for you to start experimenting!

The kit includes:

* Recipe booklet (a nice little booklet with recipes for making fresh ricotta, goat cheese, queso blanco, paneer and yogurt cheese or labneh. It includes useful tips for cheesemaking, possible uses for leftover whey and freshly made cheese as well as some guesses about what might have gone wrong if your cheese didn’t turn out as planned)

* 2 pieces of Butter Muslin, 1 piece of Cheesecloth (kit includes one piece (70cm x 45cm) of 100% cotton cheesecloth with unfinished edges, used to drain larger cheese curds, and two pieces of hemmed butter muslin (fine cheesecloth) to catch even the smallest curds and to drain yogurt)

* (optional) 1 Cooking Thermometer (it measures temperature between -10 and +100°C) - in case you already bought one of my kits with thermometer or you have one you can use at home select "exclude thermometer" option on top of this listing!

* 3 Cheese Moulds in two different shapes (shapes of the moulds may slightly vary from kit to kit but in any case two smaller moulds (most appropriate for goat cheese) and one larger mould are included. They are used for final draining and forming of a desired cheese shape)

* Citric Acid (it comes from the fermentation of crude fruit sugars and it helps to separate the curds from the whey - an essential step in cheesemaking process)

* Cheese Salt (cheese salt doesn’t contain iodine which would react with lactic bacteria and possibly mess up the cheesemaking process)

In case you run out of any supplies or would just like to buy larger quantities or more moulds, just contact me!

All what is left to you to provide is a large pot, a colander, a large spoon or skimmer for stirring and some good quality milk.
You may use cow, goat or sheep milk with this kit, either raw or pasteurized (on offer also in grocery stores). If you end up with lactose-free milk you’ll probably be able to make some cheese, but the yield will be lower. Make sure not to use ultra-pasteurized milk.

And where to use fresh cheese? The possibilities are endless: use it in dips and toppings, baked dishes, pies and tarts, serve it with fresh fruit for breakfast or simply eat it with some bread or crackers just after it’s been made.
Customize it to your wishes by using different types of milk, adding fresh herbs, nuts, seeds, dried or even fresh fruits.

The kit also makes a great gift for anyone who enjoys cheese and is curious about how it can be made at home. It comes nicely packaged in a durable recycled kraft paper box with a matching label on top.

In case of a gift order and if you wish your kit to be personalized leave me a note and we can discuss what you'd like to have it written on a gift tag.

Recipe booklets available also in Slovene & Spanish language. Mention your preffered language during checkout (when it's not English)!
