How do I care for my board?

Care for your wooden serving board includes sanding and oiling. We sell a care kit which includes sand paper and wood conditioner along with instructions. Use the sand paper to hand sand then apply the conditioner. Let the conditioner sit and soak into your board overnight then buff off. Repeat as needed. *Do not soak your board in water. *Do not put your board in the dishwasher.

Can I choose my wood?

We don't offer exact wood options but if you describe what you would like in your order, we do our best to match. All boards are live edge with no exact straight lines.

Can I have my board by a certain date?

Custom orders take time, we have a three week turn around time for our charcuterie boards as they are all made to order. We do offer a rush processing option for $20. If you choose this option, your order will ship within 7 days from order date. Can you engrave a logo or photo?

We can engrave most logos, just email the vector, JPG, or PNG, to northernrootsww@gmail.com. We cannot engrave photographs.

Beautiful one of a kind walnut countertop magnetic knife block, double sided to hold about 8 knives- 4 on each side.

Be sure to measure the height at which the block will sit on your counter along with the handle of your knives to choose the best fit!

Widths vary depending on tree/slab size and most are between 11”-15” wide. Knife stand base measures 3” deep.

This item arrived well-shipped to prevent damage, and it is exquisitely crafted. The beautiful black walnut with a live edge is a work of art in itself, the base is sturdy and will last a loooobg time, and the magnets are strong and keep the knives secure. It took a while to get here, but rural Wisconsin ain’t exactly a main shipping hub, so I understood. More important was that it was so securely packaged that no damage occurred in transit. The seller was responsive and kind, and I simply cannot endorse this shop enough. My husband ABSOLUTELY LOVES his custom knife block. Many, many thanks for your beautiful work- would definitely buy again.

Giving a 4 in customer service because I had to reach out to him. Answered. Magnets were back ordered so took longer to get item. Said he would send picture before sending, but did not send a picture. So simply an area for some improvement. Now for the most important is the knife holder. It is beautiful. Workmanship is great. Would have liked more variety in color of the walnut but it is still very pretty. I will treasure this piece. Would definitely recommend.
