These bowls were used as rice measures on the east coast of India. Because this was forbidden during the British colonial time they became a symbol of love of freedom.
This antique bowl is made with the 'lost wax' method and therefore unique. By prolonged use this pot has become beautifully smooth and patinated.

Beautiful done statue of Vajrasattva in this gilded bronze, one of the best I've seen of this Buddhist statue.
