How to care for your jewelry

Most importantly, please do not shower, swim, or exercise while wearing your gold filled or sterling silver jewelry. Extra care must be taken to ensure that your new handcrafted jewelry will last you many years.
Also, please remember that due to the delicate nature of dainty jewelry, sleeping with your jewelry on is not recommend, as movements during sleeping can cause breakage.
MOISTURE, salt water, chlorine in swimming pools, soap and perspiration take their toll on fine jewelry. Apply self-tanners, sunscreen, lotion or perfume and allow them to dry before putting on jewelry.
If you jewelry gets wet, pat it dry immediately with a soft cloth.

One thing to keep in mind, the copper content of these metals can oxidize in combination with skin oils, creating a greenish layer of copper carbonate on skin. This more often can occur with tight rings worn in hot weather, because of the lack of air circulation between your finger and the ring.

An easy fix is to coat only the inside of your piece with clear nail polish. This creates a barrier, preventing oxidation.

You can also minimize oxidation by taking jewelry off at night.

The necklace itself is rated 3 stars; the shop is rated less. My husband and I gave this to my mother-in-law as a birthday gift, and she absolutely loved it. The necklace was the perfect length and the charms were delicate and lovely in appearance. I'm quite glad that we did not cancel the order, as we were planning to do at one point. We were disappointed in this shop and aren't sure that we would order from here again. We placed the order on March 30th and on April 8th received a shipment notification. When the necklace hadn't arrived after several days, we contacted the shop on April 14th and were told that the necklace actually hadn't shipped at all. We were informed that the necklace shipped on April 15th. Thankfully, it arrived in time for my mother-in-laws birthday, but really only barely on time.

Between March 18th and April 7th I put SEVERAL MESSAGES on my Etsy Shop ( Shop Banner, Policies, Shop Location, shop Annoucement ... ) because I was ''on vacation''. My shop was opened but I was not able to process shipping during this period. So ALL orders received during this period has been shipped after and my processing times is about 7 to 10 BUSINESS days. Unfortunately you never take care to check the policies before ordering but you allow yourself to give me a bad evaluation. I am VERY disappointed too !!!

My granddaughters turned 16 and her name is Angelica it was a perfect find. I added her birthstone which made it very special. The quality and workmanship was superb. I would recommend this necklace for any age.
