Captivating the eyes with a double anticlastic curve melded with a modern asymmetrical bracelet arc, this copper cuff bracelet was handmade to emphasize flowing curves in three dimensions. Cut from thick semi hard 17 gauge copper with a metal shear, the bracelet started as a flat trapezoid with one end measuring 1.5 inches and the other parallel end .5 inch to create the tapered effect. Using a cnc machined double anticlastic mushroom die, the flat trapezoidal band was pressed into neoprene thereby forming both the double concave curves, while simultaneously bending the metal into a bracelet arc. The pressing was repeated at ½ inch intervals with the bracelet shaping influence by the amount of downward force combined with upward pressure from my thumbs. After forming the bracelet, the end tabs and edges were rounded and filed for a comfortable fit.

As shown, this copper cuff was finished with a combination of hand polishing and tumbling in fine walnut shell to produce a near mirror finish, however your bracelet can also be ordered with a rustic brushed finish for a modern industrial appearance or even tumbled in a special combination of ceramic spheres to take the polished finish to a perfect mirror. While mirror finishes bedazzle and leave viewers awestruck, they are harder to maintain and require frequent cleaning. This bracelet can also be ordered in sterling silver, bronze, and aluminum.
