Hardback first printing of "Cathedral: The Story of Its Construction" by David Macaulay, 1973. In 1974, this title was awarded the Caldecott Medal.

Macaulay follows the step-by-step process of building a Gothic cathedral through his beautiful ink illustrations.

Large format book is in very good condition. Corners are largely unbumped, type is crisp and brown boards are unfaded and lovely. Dust jacket is not price clipped. It has some edge wear, marks, small tears and a Kroch's & Brentano's price sticker on the back.
