Description

'How To Draw Like A Barmpot' is a zine by ballpoint pen artist Andrea Joseph.

'Barmpot' is the third in my How To Draw Like...series of tutorial (ish) zines. This edition focuses on drawing on/with your imagination. It was made with just ballpoint pens and some paper.

Some stuff you might want to know about it:

It is A5 in size which is 8 x 6 inches (ish) or 21 x 15 cm (ish).
It is made from a 100% recycled paper.
It is a 100gsm uncoated paper.
There are eight double spreads of drawings and doodles.
The drawings in the zine are the actual size of the original drawings, and all were created especially for this zine.
They were all created with a four colour ballpoint pen.
This is a run of just 1000.
The zine is filled with answers to my most FAQs, ideas to get you drawing and a mini tutorial.
I have posted some of them on my blog, but have kept a couple back especially for this zine.

Feedback:

Printedmaterial wrote: "Perfect purchase. Speedily sent and exactly the quality I expected. Many thanks", tahnk you, too.

Marcia Furman added: "Loved this so much. Creative, colorful and detailed. Maybe someday I can be like Andrea Joseph when I grow up? ;D".

Diane (fab as usual) said: "Who knew Barmpots like noir? Giggle inducing with the very real power of getting me to pick up my pen and keep drawing. Great stuff ".

And Tahirir added "Awesome, as ususal, Andrea. Thanks! " Thank you, too.

You may also like 'An Idle Daydream Based on Colour' which is a collection (sort of) of blog post images and little stories about how they came to be and what pens were used in their creation.

'How To Draw Like A Nut' was the first in this series but has now sold out. 'How To Draw Like A Loon' (the second) is still available.

Please see my shop for other zines and products.

Hmmmm. Can’t think of anything else.
Please ask if there is anything more that you’d like to know.

A very beautiful and creative zine, showcasing the ballpoint pen.
The zine is full of ideas, tips and inspiration for aspiring artists, and is also a collector piece in its own right.
I'm sad to have missed earlier issues.
Thank you Andrea for the extras, everything arrived in excellent condition and postage was very quick.

Te duur voor 4 blaadjes. Niet echt een tutorial. Ik kende alle tekeningen al van websites

As usual, a zine packed with great drawings and tips to draw (well, try to) like Andrea. She sent also some extra cards and fliers with maps of local events drawn by her as well... Receiving Andrea's publications is always a feast for the eyes
