From Brighton there are two ways to get to Eastbourne. One is much better than the other, taking you along a scenic coast road which passes through Seaford before dropping down to Cuckmere Haven.
Walkers enjoy a stroll to the sea’s edge while the more active paddle canoes in still waters.
But if you drive on a little further the road’s incline soon reveals one of the most spectacular estuary views anywhere in Britain, as the meanders of the old river wind towards the English Channel.
It’s the cause of many a near miss as drivers’ heads are drawn to gaze. Captured here in a simple graphic illustration the autumnal sky adds a hazy stillness to the image and also mimics the bends of a river no longer flowing.

We have always loved the Cuckmere river, such a beautiful place. We also bought Beachy Head and Seven Sisters as they looked so fantastic as a set on the wall in the NT shop at Birling Gap. They will bring back happy memories of stunning places and are beautiful in their own right. Adam was very helpful in refunding the extra cost of P&P which we should not have paid on ordering three.

We loved this print when we saw it framed and hung with Beachy Head and Cuckmere in the National Trust Shop at Birling Gap so we bought all three. Adam was very helpful and even refunded the extra postage as we should have paid a reduced amount for ordering three. They will look fantastic as a set.

I love these designs, they look so beautiful! The prints are high quality and on lovely thick paper, they are sent in secure tubes and always arrive very quickly. I have displayed the A3 sized prints in A2 sized frames with a border.
