DETAILS:
Hand spun thick & thin art yarn/ hand dyed. Purchase as a full skein or by the meter.
COLOR: hot pink
One full skein can yield 16-18 meters.

Also available in a single ply finish. Choose option at checkout. Single ply skeins are only available in the full skein format.

It has a lofty texture, and is spun in a way that creates almost no overspinning.
It will be easy to knit or crochet with this yarn. Perfect for 8-12mm needles.

YARN SIZES (for thick & thin yarn only)
Please see photo to have an idea of what you get for every length of the thick & thin yarn.
For the 3 meters and 5 meters lengths, I will send them in a continuous length whenever possible, but sometimes I will need to cut into a new skein to complete the length. If you really need a continuous length, please add the info with your order.

YARN THICKNESS (for thick & thin yarn only)
This yarn is spun in a thick & thin finish. The thickness of the yarn will therefore vary throughout (please see photo added to give you an idea if the thickness range. All yarns are not exactly the same)
The size of the yarn can go from approximately 3-20mm in diameter.

HAND DYED
This yarn is also hand dyed. All yarns are dyed in small batches, after they have been spun. Please note that every dye bath can give a different result in the tonal yarns, as I can't control where the dyes will settle on the yarn, but colors will be the same. Shop all the colors available

MY PROCESS
This yarn is made with up to 40% of recycled fibers.
My recycled fibers come from sweaters I find in thrift shops, and then unravel or from leftover yarns that are gifted to me for that purpose.
I then sometimes separate some of the yarn strands to acheive a more uniform blend.
These are then carded with natural roving (merino being the predominant wool). Can be used for felting.
Each batt is different since the recycled fibers are added at random.

The result is chunky coils with loads of texture!

This skein will be fun to use in weaving for wall hangings, of as an accent for a knitting project (how-to video in link).

This art yarn was spun on my Ashford spinning wheel.

*Please note:
If you are cutting into any art yarn to work into a project, you need to tie off your ends!! (I have a tutorial on my Instagram page showing how to do it).
There may be bits of yarn fibers straying as you are working with it. I do my best to secure these little fibers in the yarn, but there will be some shedding.

I was disappointed with art yarn, which was flimsy and light weight. The is fantastic. I wish it was thicker to show the swirls.
