moonbeam duster

Cowboys in the old west wore dusters to keep their jeans dust-free. If you ever roam the forest during a full moon you are going to get full of moon-dust! This moonbeam duster will do its best to keep your petticoats clean & tidy.

Size: XS (S: M: L: XL: XXL)
Bust Measurements: 28-30, 32-34, 36-38, 40-42, 44-46, 48-50”

Tension/gauge: This yarn normally calls for a smaller needle. I’ve gone up in needle size for a looser fabric. Work 14 sts and 21 rows to measure 4x4” in St stitch using US 10.5 or 6.5 mm needles with MC.

Notions:
A pair of US 10.5 (6.5 mm) circular needles 24” long,
stitch markers, tapestry needle, crochet hook for fringe.
Pattern notes:
This is a great project for scraps or mini-skeins! The body of the vest is knitted flat in 3 pieces and the fun duster fringe added afterwards. Have fun with the colors and experiment!

Yarns used: Heavy worsted weight yarn such as:
MC: Malabrigo Merino Worsted, 100 g - 210 yds - 192 m, 100% merino, 36 Pearl (light lilac), No. of skeins: 1 (1: 2: 2: 3: 3)
CC: This is the fun part. You’ll need approx. 546 (637: 715: 806: 884: 975) yds of complimentary yarn (a mix of 4-ply, DK & worsted weight.) Use up your scraps & have fun! Don’t feel limited to what I used. That would be expensive. For the curious, I used the following yarns in my duster:
