WHY WON'T MY FILE OPEN?

Once your payment is confirmed, Etsy automatically sends your digital files to your account. You can access them by going to Purchases and Reviews and clicking the Download Files button next to your order. 📦 File Format: All of my designs are delivered in a zipped folder to keep things neat and organized. To open them, you’ll need to extract or unzip the folder first. Most computers have built-in tools to do this — just right-click the file and select “Extract” or “Unzip.” 📝 First Time Downloading? WHERE IS THE SVG FILE? I CAN'T FIND IT.

All of my designs include SVG, EPS, and DXF files. If you’ve downloaded a zipped folder and don’t immediately see the SVG, don’t worry — it’s in there! You can extract the zipped folder first to see all the included formats more clearly — including your SVG file! Sometimes, Windows computers automatically rename SVG files to "Microsoft Edge HTML Document" or something similar. This happens because SVGs can open in web browsers, and your computer recognizes it as a webpage file rather than a design file. It may look confusing, but the file still works perfectly for design software like Glowforge, Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Designer Edition, and others.

WILL THIS FILE WORK WITH OTHER MACHINES LIKE CRICUT?

All of my designs are laser-ready and optimized for machines like Glowforge, xTool, and other laser cutters. That said, each file includes an SVG format, which is widely compatible with non-laser machines, such as: Cricut Design Space Silhouette Studio (Designer Edition) ScanNCut and other cutting software While many customers successfully use my files with these programs to cut vinyl, cardstock, fabric, and other materials, I can’t guarantee compatibility or performance on all machines. If your machine can read SVG files and cut different materials, there’s a good chance you can get creative in other ways!

WHY ISN'T MY STORY CARD PRINTING CORRECTLY?

I personally test print every file before listing it to make sure each design prints just right at 5" x 7". Each listing includes both PDF and PNG formats. While both are great for different uses, I strongly recommend printing the PDF file for best results. Your download includes a PDF file formatted with two Story Cards on a single 8.5" x 11" page, complete with trim marks for easy cutting. This layout helps ensure your cards stay true to size and are easy to print at home or through professional services. 🖨️ Printing Tip: Set your printer settings to “Actual Size” or “100%” to avoid shrinking or stretching the artwork. This ensures the layout and message print exactly as intended.

CAN I CHANGE THE STORY CARD?

yes! Each download includes four different file formats to give you flexibility: PNG – For quick printing or digital use PDF (flattened) – Non-editable version with all design elements merged PDF (editable) – Allows changes to fonts, layout, and images PDF with two story cards on one 11" x 8.5" page – Includes trim marks for easy printing at home ✨ If you'd like to make changes to the story card, use the editable PDF file. Many customers use Canva to adjust transparency, reposition images, or update text. Just note: uploading to Canva may shift the background image to the front and remove its transparency — be sure to send it backward and reapply transparency before printing.

HOW DO I RESIZE THE DESIGN?

Each listing includes the exact dimensions of the design so you can plan your project with confidence. My files are laser-ready, and each layer is thoughtfully separated with instructions for each layer. 🛠️ Resizing Tip: Before resizing, make sure that all design elements are grouped together so they scale proportionally. This includes text, shapes, engrave lines, and cut layers. ⚠️ Important: While grouping, double-check that everything is positioned within the borders of the finished piece. For example, if your project is a 10.5" circle sign, be sure that every part of the design is contained within that 10.5" area — nothing should hang outside the circle.

While I don’t currently offer custom orders, I absolutely welcome feedback and suggestions from my customers! WHY IS MY SVG NOT WORKING CORRECTLY IN MY LASER SOFTWARE?

I personally test every file before listing it using my xTool P2 and XCS software, and I only offer designs that cut cleanly and perform as expected. While my files work perfectly on my end, I understand that different laser software programs—like LightBurn, Glowforge, or others—can sometimes interpret SVG files differently due to quirks in how they handle paths, scaling, or formatting. These issues are rare, but they can happen. If you experience any trouble with a file, please reach out before leaving a review. I’m always happy to help troubleshoot and make things right. Your satisfaction matters deeply to me, and I want every customer to feel supported and confident in their purchase.
