This is a handmade miniature blanket chest or keepsake box. Constructed of solid beautifully figured Tiger Maple and based on traditional 18th century designs, it features all dovetailed construction, bracket feet, a removable inside tray, mitered moldings, solid brass hinges and a mortised lock with key. It is finished inside and out in an Early American stain and a satin lacquer finish that really makes the figure pop out and gives it a nice warm look and feel. Outside dimensions are roughly 14" long, 7 3/8" wide and 8 1/2" tall. The tray is 12" long, 6" wide and 1 5/8" tall. A visually stunning piece that would make a great home for your treasured keepsakes, jewelry, or just for display.
