Beautiful Tennessee Souvenir! "Cardinals appear when Angels are near"

Red Cardinal sits on a stump. There is a cherry blossom and a working thermometer.

Made in Japan and retains the original sticker.

This is from the 1950s or 1960s and the red paint has tiny flea bites on the backside of the bird, see photos, and a teeny spot on the tip of it's beak. It is very very typical for red painted ceramic from Japan during this time period to have missing paint but this one is in such amazing condition, it was very well taken care of. Remember do not use any chemical or wet cloths to clean the red cardinal as the paint may come off in spots. Simply dust him or use a dry cloth and gently dust him. On my own red painted items I use a dry, unused, soft small 1/2 " to 1" wide artist paint brush to dust my figurines :) Works so nicely! Gets in all the small areas :)

Cardinals are beautiful birds and this is a beautiful depiction and would make a great addition to a cardinal collectors display.

Stands 5" tall and is 3 1/4" wide at widest point.
