Once the proof is agreed upon an estimate is generated. To begin work on your project, we require that 50% of the total invoice is paid and the service contract is signed. The 50% initial payment is a non-refundable retainer. The remaining balance is due before the invitations are sent.

What is the initial process to place an order?

The first step starts with your complimentary consultation. During your design
consultation we will discuss your budget, stationery needs, timing, as well as aesthetic details such as color scheme, themes and structural considerations all relating to your individual project. Any details from your wedding or event can be used for inspiration
on your design. We encourage you to bring along or send tear sheets, color swatches and any other details you wish to incorporate. We will also work within your budget to choose the perfect design that best suites you. After the initial consultation half of your invoice fee is due in order to begin work on your virtual proof, which will be sent to you the week of receipt of payment.

What is a Virtual Proof?

A virtual proof is a PDF digital mock up of what your invitation will look like. It allows us to create as many designs as we want without using excess paper and creates less of an impact on the environment. You will receive three rounds of drafts during this time. The first draft includes 5 different designs. The second round refines the designs based on your comments of the previous draft. The third draft is your final draft, and once approved will be placed into production. We will create the third
proof on paper, should you wish, so that you may get a feel for what your invitation will look like. Custom paper mock-ups, however, begin at an additional $45.

How long is the initial design process?

Since there are three rounds of drafts the design process take anywhere from 2-3 weeks. Please factor this in to your wedding time line.

When can I see an estimate of services or sign a service contract?

After you have chosen your design based on your virtual proof you will receive an estimate and design time line based on what was discussed during your consultation. Please allow 3-5 days to receive your estimate. At this point, if you decide to move forward with Pelanne’s Papier, we require a signed estimate/contract and the remainder of your invoice to finish the design process.

How long does it take complete an order?

All invitations and cards are handmade. The time frame depends on the complexity of the invitation and quantity. Once a concept is agreed upon an average order of 100 invitations will normally take around 6-8 weeks to complete. We do offer rush jobs at 20% over the regular price.

Is there a minimum order?

No! We welcome all orders not matter the size.

Do you address the envelopes?

We offer digital calligraphy services in a range of styles from contemporary scripts and fonts to elaborate flourished calligraphy. Please factor in an additional two to three weeks. If you are addressing envelopes yourself, please also factor in the time it will take for the completion of this.

Do you offer other services besides invitations?

We offer a wide variety of other paper products that carry out your vision throughout
your event. We are happy to create programs, place cards, menus, favor tags, signature drink signs or other paper items you need. Pricing depends on level of personalization, paper and quantity.
