Rosewood from the Philippines is a hard wood, very strong, with pale coloring or pink overtones. The color here is a pale, very light brown, with a dusty pink overcast. The beads are hard, very smooth, with a nice, loose, wood grain. They have an understated polish which allows them to retain a very natural and organic appearance. Wood beads look great with a wide variety of metals. Try pairing them with semiprecious stones, shell, bone, and other natural materials. Come on, let's make something beautiful!

These particular beads are handcrafted in the Philippines, coming to you from a family that has 30 years of expertise in making wood beads. Each bead is cut, turned, and polished in their backyard shop. Natural wood, without any additional stain, they will stay beautiful for years to come. 8mm round, hand cut, so allow for some slight variation. Hole size in this lot is a little large, about 1.5-2mm.

We do take requests for custom orders! Please convo me for more information and provide as much detail as possible. Custom orders may take several weeks to process. In general, custom items may not be returned, with the exception of damage upon receipt which prevents the beads from being used.

Our wood beads are handmade by gifted artisans using wood native to the Philippines. The beads are not dyed or painted. Most of the beads are finished with a light wax polish which is buffed off. The polish helps to protect the wood and give it a nice sheen.

Wood may darken with age as exposed to the natural oils from the skin. And, wood swells and contracts with exposure to moisture, so please take care not to expose your wood beads to large amounts of water. This can cause the wood to split or crack.

To clean or polish your wood beads, use a soft cotton cloth to slowly rub the beads. This will brighten them up in no time!

Orders will ship via USPS first class mail and take from 2-6 weeks. International Priority mail upgrades (6-10 business days, not guaranteed) are available during checkout.
