Description

Nailers
(Homocaprum aenicornium)
Common names: Pokies, Coppercorns

Shy, but fierce when cornered, nailers spend most of the day searching for their favorite food, bird’s eggs. They have been observed scampering up trees and bushes until they are under a nest and the parent birds are away or asleep. The nailer then rams it’s horn through the bottom of the nest into an egg and waits, head back and jaws wide open until the golden yolk drips into it’s mouth.
There is speculation that the nailer’s copper horn is used as a weapon in territorial disputes and mating rituals, but this has not been confirmed.
Their closest known living relatives at this time are the narwhal. Unlike narwhal, nailers have hind legs which resemble a horses or goats. This suggests an evolutionary link between narwhal, nailers, and the long lost unicorn.

You will receive 1 mummified specimen in a 1" x 3.75" glass vile
And 1 pedigree card with information as seen above.
