Each customized design will undergo an approval process (pdf proof, image proof, or email conversation) before the final customized item is sent to the customer to ensure that everyone is on the same page and happy with their item.

Digital Proofing
Customized printed pieces with changes to text, addition of photography, or other design alterations include up to 3 digital proofs per order. Additional Proofs may be purchased for a flat fee of $10 (includes up to 2 proofs).

Pricing is set on a case-by-case basis as the scope of work will determine the price. Design deposits DO NOT include the printing of the cards, just for the design services. Design deposits are non-refundable and are listed as reserved listings only. This will insure that each design deposit is discussed and agreed by both The Gray Attic and the buyer prior to purchase and the beginning of the design process. I will clearly describe the future process of these specific listings.

Please only send the original photo from your digital camera, and be careful as many computer programs downsize the photo to make it more friendly to send electronically. All photography submitted to The Gray Attic is considered approved for use to be digitally proofed in the layout and printed with the accompanying design chosen. If necessary photographers are welcome to send the digital image directly to The Gray Attic. Digital images can be sent here securely over Etsy message or they may be emailed directly to me. Email to send photos is supplied after order is received.

Earth-Friendly:
I strive to reduce, reuse and re-purpose as much as possible. I purchase paper & envelopes that use 30% or more post-consumer waste and are made in domestic paper mills. My shipping materials, when possible, are produced from recycled materials, biodegradable and/or reusable. I also do not include a packing slip, or order details print out in your package, as this is additional paper, and the same information is available online in your order details. If merchandise is separated into several packages (if envelopes are sent separately from printed cards) you will be notified electronically, or with a hand-written note.

Things I Love:
These are some of my favorite things ... brown paper packages tied up with string.

My favorite envelope is made of kraft paper. It's the perfect neutral that compliments my cards and carries my love of brown paper packages into my products. Paper or Plastic? Paper bags all the way ... I love the raw look of printed grocery store paper bags and will sometimes use them in packaging of your items prior to shipping. I like to use the vintage ribbon and lace handed down to us from my husband's side of the family. You will see pieces of materials and odds and ends from time to time delivered with your package. I love up-cycling and re-purposing and try to reflect that in what I deliver to you. So that those little scraps of ribbon and discarded bags have a purpose and don't get tossed in the trash, or lost in the bottom of a drawer or shelf somewhere.
