We are called to impress the Word of God on our children’s hearts as we come and go, sit at home, and walk along the road. (Deut. 6:7) Every day we are given numerous opportunities to point our children to the Lord! Each day we will be met with opportunities to teach, rebuke, correct, and train our children in righteousness! The Word of God is our guidebook! It’s a lamp for our feet and a light for our path! (Ps 119:105) It’s wisdom and instruction. We are to hide it in our hearts so we can faithfully instruct and teach our children in the way they should go.
Lamp & Light is a Bible verse copy work resource that includes 30 different Scripture passages that will help point your children to truth and wisdom and encourage putting off wrong behavior and putting on right behavior.
In our home, when an issue comes up or a sin needs addressed, we ask heart probing questions to get our children to evaluate their own hearts and see what they need to put off and put on! (Ephesians 4:22-23) We then point them to Scripture to rebuke the wrong behavior as well as Scripture to encourage them in the right behavior! The verses in Lamp & Light include both rebuke and encouragement for numerous behaviors including, but not limited to, blame shifting, complaining, defiance, lying, strife etc. These are not the only verses in the Bible that you can use to guide and train your children. This is just a small subset of verses that I have personally used in my home with my own children.
When a sin or issue arises in your home, the first place you should turn for wisdom is the Lord. His Word is full of so much wisdom. You can use this scripture copy work notebook to help your children learn and commit scripture to memory so that they can be armed with truth to combat the lies of the enemy.

I have older 2s on an infant/toddler curriculum, so I look for extra material to level up our study’s since they’re in the higher end of the curriculum and often get bored with it. This package was very informative and we loved the visuals as well! My fiancé was a guest reader for Veterans Day, and this package definitely helped my kiddos understand some background as to why he was coming and what Veterans Day is all about!

I bought this visual schedule for my older 2s class in hopes of helping some behavioral issues I’ve had with my new class. I’ve also encountered a lot more separation anxiety than in the past, and was hoping this visual would help with that as well. I loved that the package was so vast and literally had a card for everything! I could even use this for my own kiddos at home!! The visual schedule in my classroom is referred to every day and has been a huge help!
