Vintage 1960s Tuxedo Jacket French Mens Formal Wear Size S

This is a vintage mens formal wear tuxedo jacket that I think may have been made in France or at least of French fabric as the selvedge in the pockets reads “Tergal Laine” (tergal / wool). Tergal was a type of polyester produced by French textile manufacturer Rhône-Poulencthat - it was popular during the 1960s and 70s. The jacket is shiny black, probably simulating mohair, and is constructed with padded shoulders, single linked button closure, narrow shawl lapels that are trimmed in rickrack, jetted side pockets, chest pocket and single button cuffs. The jacket is fully lined in black viscose and has an 11” back vent.

Sizing: This tuxedo jacket is unsized, and although this should fit a small size (US 36), please rely on the following measurements:

Sleeves: 22” from shoulder seam
Sleeve Inseam: 14 1/2”
Chest: 40”
Waist: 38”
Overall length: 26 3/4“
Condition: This tuxedo jacket is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odour but the lining has a tear at the bottom vent (see last close-up photo). A cleaning and pressing would be beneficial.
This is a nice vintage 60s tuxedo jacket, shiny French fabric, very sharp!
