Description

Catalog #: Scott 1309

Postage stamps have always been an offbeat means of tracking important historical and cultural trends and events and this hilarious set of red, white, blue and black midcentury American philately is no exception.

These 5cent American Circus stamps were first issued in Delavan, WI on May 2, 1966. They honored the American Circus on the centenary of the birth of John Ringling. Ringling and his four brothers founded the Ringling Brothers Circus and later acquired the Barnum and Bailey Circus in London. Designed by Edward Klauck of New York City, they were printed on the Giori press

All of these stamps are cancelled and off of paper. There may be some minor imperfections but they only add authentic vintage character; overall these are in wonderful condition. They're perfect for collecting, trading and crafting. You will receive a total of 30 used postage stamps for only $4. That's only 10cents/stamp which is half the total catalog value.

Please note the quantity available in this listing. Buy in bulk. There is more than one set available and the more you buy, the more you'll save on shipping!

Not only can these stamps be appreciated by philatelic collectors & enthusiasts, they can also be used for decorative paper crafting, card making, collages, scrapbooking, journaling, jewelry making and more! Sorting and organizing stamps offers endless hours of soothing relaxation for both the young and old. Getting your kids into stamps at a young age will help them to be better organized in the future.
