Description

Simon is hiding in the grass; he looks as though he's watching birds, or possibly bees, doesn't he?

Simon is a feral cat, perfectly at home in the great outdoors. You'll notice his left ear is tipped, a sign that he's been neutered by one of many good people who look after feral cat colonies and also seek to prevent feral population growth through trap-neuter-return, or TNR.

75% from the sale of each "Simon" print will be donated to Alley Cat Allies, a national advocacy organization dedicated to the protection and humane treatment of cats. Please visit their website to find out all about their wonderful work: http://www.alleycat.org/

He is printed on high quality Kinwashi paper using vegetable oil-based ink, which is both permanent and environmentally friendly. Kinwashi is a translucent yet strong traditional Japanese paper made from manila fibers with visible bark inclusions which give it a lovely texture. It is both strong and lightweight, which makes it wonderfully responsive to hand printing.

This open edition print will come to you numbered, titled and signed in graphite pencil. I hand print each one using a brayer and wooden spoon, which allows the varying hand pressure to show on the finished image such that no two are exactly alike. Since each print is a one of a kind, your print may vary slightly from the photo. The last photo shows a print with an 8x10 mat (not included).

Materials & Dimensions:
Paper:Japanese Kinwashi paper, 30 gsm, white
Ink: Vegetable oil-based ink, permanent, lightfast
Dimensions: image is approx. 5x7, paper is 9x12

Simon will be packed securely in a padded envelope with cardboard backing. I ship by USPS, either First Class Mail or Priority, depending on the size of the package. Maryland residents will have 6% sales tax added.
