I got this beautiful piece of pink rhodonite at a gem shop in California this past summer, but had to cut it, finish it and polish it myself. It is a 5 sided 'pentagon' about 2.5 x 2 inches, and only about 4mm thick. The silver bezel is slightly oxidized to give it an 'antique' look. The piece is stamped on the back silver plate: .925 and MSJ. It comes on a beautiful string of beads: matching rhodonite, silver and black frosted glass (18.5 inches) with a home make silver clasp.

I have been obsessed with this necklace ever since the first time I saw the movie. This is by far the closest replica I have seen. The pictures don’t do it justice. The necklace broke very flimsy. The Ruby is as thin as paper and doesn't even cover the opening all the way. The gold heart is hollow on the back. Things I wish I'd known before I ordered

1) buyer can always return if necklace 'breaks' 2) a Ruby is a stone, it is a standard diamond cut, 4 mm in diameter 3) there are several pictures of this item and one of them is a rear view clearly showing the hollow back. Covered backs are available at extra cost
