I bought two other bird patterns, which I did first and found to be wonderful. However, this pattern doesnt use the Sticky-Solvy, which makes the process longer and more complicated. I did use the Sticky-solvy but then had to change the sequence of the steps. Still turned out beautiful but Im glad I didnt start with this one first.
I went into this project after purchasing the 12 Days patterns and making them. Like those, the snow bird was easy to make and the pattern was well written. I love that I can go from this basic pattern to customizing each bird how I see fit. I'm starting on an entire flock for a tree.
I just loved making this! Beautiful materials and great patterns.
I love the pattern and it's very adaptable - I did more beadwork than embroidery, and re-positioned the wings, similar to other patterns.
