Are press on nails as high quality as salon nails?

Yes! In most cases. Sellers like myself who use salon-quality products and who hand paint each set of nails produce nails that are durable, safe, and beautiful. I personally hand file each set, apply a base coat, apply 2-3 coats of gel colour, hand paint any designs, then finish with a top coat. It can take me 2-3 hours to create a single set depending on how intricate the design is. The best part is, you don’t have to sit through that 2-3 hours of painting; I ship you the finished product so you can start wearing them immediately!

Drugstore press on nails are way cheaper. What makes these press ons special?

The adage “you get what you pay for” applies here. Drugstore and big retail chains sell mass produced nails using cheap material and “cheap” (often exploitative) labour. The nails are usually made of ABS plastic, making them brittle and inflexible. Drugstore press ons come in packs of 20 or 24 nails to cover the majority of nail bed sizes, resulting in significant waste when customers toss out the nails that don’t fit them. My nails are made with salon-quality materials; I spend significant time and resources trying out different brands and materials to find the best products. I shop conscientiously; I limit my Amazon purchases, and instead try to source the materials I need from local beauty suppliers whenever possible.

How long do press on nails last?

(With glue) With proper prep, application, and care your set can last 2-3 weeks. Shorter nails tend to last longer due to less wear and tear. Results really depend on how careful you are with them! (With adhesive stickers) Use the stickers when you just want to wear the nails for a few hours (e.g., an evening). Again, nail prep (like swabbing your nail with alcohol wipes) is key.

Yes! When you use adhesive stickers, no damage is done to the press ons so you can keep reusing them. If you use glue your nails will stay on longer but may be damaged during removal.
