This is a gorgeous set of Art Deco cufflinks, shirt studs and vest buttons by Larter and Sons. Lovely, flawless white abalone is surrounded by black enamel embellishments in a white rolled gold octagonal setting.
There are three shirt studs and four vest buttons, as well as the two double-sided cufflinks. The buttons have a ring with spring backs linked to them. The spring backs all work fine.
All pieces are marked "Rolled Gold Plate" and feature the Larter and Sons shirt stud mark.
This set is in excellent condition. I've put them in an antique jewelry box from the turn of the century. It is an oblong leather case lined with a nice red velvet on the bottom. The lid is plushly padded and lined with a cream satin. It is stamped "F. Tornotti Torino 1 Via Roma 1". It may have been used for a large brooch. The case prevents the cufflinks from sliding all over~ the next best thing to a true cufflink box.
