Description

COUPONS ARE NOT VALID ON THIS ITEM! Perfect for Samhain or Halloween, and the upcoming Yuletide season!

The calendar is a colorful mandala illustrating the natural cycles of the solar calendar year, including the Sabbats, Almanac moons, and Zodiac. The Calendar Poster is a 2 ft by 2 ft colorful poster that fits on a door. It illustrates the natural cycles of the solar calendar year. It is printed on high quality 100% recycled heavy weight 110 lb paper with soy inks, and it also includes an informative, illustrated 40 page booklet explaining the calendar's contents in detail.

One of the best parts about this Calendar is that it's perennial. Meaning... you don't need to replace it, because it applies year after year! This is because it is solar-based, rather than lunar or weekday-based.

The images within the panels are all lovingly illustrated by hand in colored pencil. Many laborious hours have gone into making these pictures beautifully detailed. The final image design was assembled and refined digitally.

Within the calendar are rings of images, each their own category.

From the center out, the Mandala portrays:

- The Earth

- The Yin and Yang of the Year

- The 4 Seasons

- The 8 Sabbats of the Pagan Wheel of the Year

- The 12 Moons of the Farmer’s Almanac

- The 365 days of the Gregorian Calendar Solar Year as well as..

- The 12 Signs of Zodiac in both Tropical and Sidereal positions

The purpose of this Calendar is to allow you to easily locate the day of the year and visually deduce where in the seasonal cycle you find yourself on a given day.

This Calendar may be of particular interest to those who would like to feel more connected to these natural rhythms. These may be spiritual and magical-minded folks who celebrate the Pagan festivals of the year or perhaps farmers and gardeners who’d like to become more aware of the seasonal cycles.

Please note that this calendar was designed for use in the Northern Hemisphere.

BOOKLET:
What's in the booklet?

The accompanying 40 page booklet is a visual and verbal breakdown of the information contained in the Calendar Poster, created to provide a bit of context and background. Jordan wrote and designed this booklet with the thought that he can't be right there with you to explain what exactly it is you're seeing. So the booklet does that for him, and more easily, since many folks are visual learners. The booklet is his way of insuring that anyone who wants to know what it all means has somewhere to start. He also wanted to make sure the Calendar Poster isn't just a pretty picture, but is a practical, useful thing as well. The booklet explains the entire structure and labels of the Calendar Poster for handy reference. The labels on the calendar are small because the goal is to eventually be able to remember the names and dates without needing the labels. Then the image alone is all that's necessary to evoke the information. The more the subconscious memory takes on these patterns, the more your life can be synchronized with the natural rhythms.

This poster was publically funded on Kickstarter, by artist Jordan Ososki. You can read about the project in detail and watch a short video at:

Secure options
  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.
PayPal is my preferred form of payment. As a bonus for using my preferred payment method of PayPal, I will send you a beautiful free printed SPELL in your order, that you can add to your own collection! New cool spells each month! Please note, that if you pay with Etsy Payments, Etsy Payments Credit Card, or an Etsy Gift Certificate, instead of PayPal, it will actually take 48 hours for your funds to reach my bank account, (weekdays only, add 2 days for weekend transactions). Therefore, NO ITEMS WILL BE SHIPPED until all funds are transferred from Etsy to my bank. This may delay your shipping date for up to 5 business days or more. If you would like your items shipped in a more timely manner, please choose PayPal, which is my preferred form of payment, as I will be paid immediately, and can get on with hand-making your order in a much faster manner. Thank you!

A note on supplies: All of my smudge fan feathers are naturally dropped, and cruelty free. They are either naturally colored, or dyed with henna/vegetable inks. Any leather used is either sustainable, recycled, or upcycled. Any dye is non-chemical. Herbs and bath or apothecary items are pesticide free, organic, vegan, allergy-free, and many are home grown. Wand wood and many stones are found on hikes, or from plants on my own property, and are harvested responsibly. All of my supplies are purchased, when possible, by independently owned local shops such as Health Unlimited, Phoenix & Dragon, local markets, or at the Stone Mountain Pow-wow, directly from Native craftspeople. I do not support Hobby Lobby stores. Art supplies are purchased from Binders. My feathers are from crueltyfreefeathers.com. Thank you!

Wax and Wane accepts Pay Pal only, and your item will be usually be shipped within 14 business days of payment received. (Custom orders may take longer.) Please be patient and allow your hand made item to be lovingly created! I ship using USPS, in protective mailing tubes, so you will receive your handmade item as quickly as possible when it is completed. A conformation email will be sent to you upon completion of your item, with an estimated ship day. (This may vary by a couple of days if there is a heavy order load, because I stay environmentally friendly by bundling trips to the post office. Its easy to be green!) All wands will be shipped with a fabric wand cover included.

Returns & exchanges

I don't accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
Returns and exchange details
Returns: I will accept returns/cancellations ONLY within 24 hours of purchase. If your item is damaged in shipping, or you are not delighted with it, you may return it ONLY within 24 hours of your receiving it (which must be confirmed with USPS Tracking.) However, there are NO RETURNS after 24 hours. There are NO RETURNS on International Orders.

*ALL Shipping is not-refundable, and customers will be responsible for returned-item shipping.*

You may contact me for possible repairs if you have purchased a heavily used object. But, you may be subject to repair fees, and shipping fees. Please treat your wand and handmade items with proper care, as they can be damaged by small children or pets, and I cannot be responsible for damage incurred in this way.

Custom Items: There are no Cancellations or Returns on custom crafted items. There are no returns on international orders.

Fees: A $25 fee will be retained by the Shop, for Items that are Returned to Sender due to no fault of the seller, (your address was not current or correct via Etsy or Pay Pal, you have moved, you never picked up your package at the post office in the case of a P.O. Box). This $25 will cover my labor time and materials cost. It is up to the buyer to make sure your address is current, and to keep up with your P.O. Box notifications and pick up your package at it's shipped destination.

Lost Items: Packages lost after 30 days are not the responsibility of the seller. The buyer must file the proper lost package paperwork with the post office in their area. In some cases, I will re-ship the item if it is returned to me at no fault of the buyer, but the buyer must pay for the shipping. If anything is returned to me due to my OWN fault (wrong address, typo in address, not enough shipping, etc.) the item will be reshipped to you at no cost. All packages are shipped with tracking, and it's the buyer's responsibility to make sure their items have arrived, and to notify W&W if their package never showed up. Each case will be treated with as much care and communication as possible, provided it's within the 30 day return window.

Cancellations: All items are made to order. If you change your mind, orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of your purchase. After 24 hours, materials and labor expenses require that your order is completed. However, I do allow Returns if your item is damaged or you are not delighted with your purchase. See "Returns" policy . There are no Returns or Cancellations on custom crafted items and tools.

*A Note to All Customers: Each fan is one of a kind, and all the feathers are unique and naturally dropped, so be aware that your fan will be as close as possible, but not identical, to the demo fan in the photo. Sometimes certain small detail feathers go in and out of stock, as do the sustainable leather handle pieces that I receive from small artisans. We keep the fans as close to the pictures as possible, and use the same materials whenever they are available. If they are not available, then we use a very close substitution. These are not craft store feathers, so some feathers will not be perfectly smooth, starched, or chemically dyed like packaged store feathers. We think this makes the fans far more special.*

I have been growing and drying herbs for over 20 years, and was taught how to cut, cure, and dry them by my Great-Grandmother and Grandmother. It's a family tradition! All herbs are pesticide free, and organically grown. Some herbs may be seasonal or have limited availability. The essential oils in all herbs are at their peak during evening hours, and especially during full moons. All of our herbs are harvested with this in mind, to provide you with the highest quality scent. All herbs are rack dried, hung upside down, which encourages the essential oils to drain into the leaves for maximum potency.
