Within the following pages you will find four patterns to make a 70’s inspired poinsettia motif shawl, fringe and all, a lovely 50’s style hostess apron emblazoned with a brilliant poinsettia pocket, companion oven mitts with poinsettia appliques and a lovely poinsettia table runner that is sure to remind you of many holiday dinners past. All of these items were designed using Malabrigo Worsted, which means sumptuous color and a beautifully soft hand. Get your hooks ready and have some holiday inspired fun!

The Shawl:
This 70’s inspired shawl is an eye-catching accessory for the holiday season. It is constructed from 21 poinsettia motifs using a combination of traditional and Tunisian crochet. The motif petals are worked primarily in Tunisian crochet and edged with traditional crochet. The center of the motif is worked in traditional crochet (petals are attached during this process). Motifs are join as you go. It is definitely a fun and challenging project!

The Apron:
This fetching hostess apron will be a hit at any holiday gathering! The half circle apron is constructed using short rows, bordered with pretty crocheted eyelet edging and is emblazoned with a poinsettia motif which doubles as a pocket. This apron is a quick weekend project and would make a lovely gift.

The Oven Mitts:
Need a festive pair of oven mitts to get you through your holiday cookie baking season? Well, these lovely mitts are the answer to your prayers! Oven mitts are constructed in the round using primarily single crochet. They are adorned with poinsettia appliques that utilize both traditional and Tunisian crochet techniques.

The Table Runner:
This bold table runner will be a lovely addition to your holiday table! It is constructed from three poinsettia motifs constructed using both traditional and Tunisian crochet techniques. Motifs are join as you go. It’s a quick project that would make a perfect holiday gift for the dinner party hostess in your life!
