Patchwork Painted Lamp

Adorable mini lamp hand painted with patchwork inspired design. Functional art as an accent or a statement piece. This is one of my smaller and simpler pieces of a jar and plate combination. This style and size lamp is perfect for anywhere, though I love them to brighten up the dark corners of countertop in the kitchen and bathroom or work space. The fixed plate can hold a small plant, garlic, fruit, keys, medicine for the day, floss, paperclips, etc. With the remote, you can turn your light on/off brighten/dim, or change modes (flashing, twinkling, steady, etc.).

I repurpose and up-cycle used glassware. Once glass pieces are selected for structure, holes for lighting are drilled. The design is hand drawn and painted onto glass. This can take days depending on design complexity and whether paint is on the interior or exterior of the glass. When the paint is dry, pieces are oven baked which permanently adheres paint to the glass. After cooling and cleaning, fairy lights are threaded through drilled holes. Finally, the separate pieces are joined with silicone adhesive.
