Vintage from the 1940s

Original not for sale, Dorothy Messenger, self portrait, 40's or 50's, copy on off-white paper, shipped in tube, copyrighted material 2013.

Perhaps her best, and very early and rare. This is a copy of one of my mother's many originals. She is deceased.

Originally of Swedish descent, she studied at Art Student's League in NYC in the 50's. (She saw Brando in "Streetcar" on Broadway in 1949.)

-Uses high quality ink on simple, plain paper), and all you need to do is place it under a heavy book overnight and it's ready to frame, matte, or trim.

Copy on plain, off white acid free paper.

- It is unsigned. (She signed very few.)
