Did you know that Kellogg's cornflakes were originally meant as a deterrent against sexual feelings? One of the Kellogg brothers, John Harvey, a Seventh Day Adventist and doctor, believed that healthy, plain foods would help you keep your hands to yourself- and off of yourself! "Plain Facts for Young and Old" is one of his lengthy books about human sexuality. At over 600 pages, it's quite a read, although most of it concerns morality and not science. Books like these are partly the reason why the Victorians have a (rather unfair) reputation for prudishness and puritanism.

The book is in overall very good condition. There are some water spots on the spine, and some cracking between the coverboards and the spine, mostly due to its bulk. Interior pages are bright and clean.
