IMPORTANT CARE INSTRUCTIONS – PLEASE READ BEFORE WASHING
This is a handmade, hand-block-printed cotton rug made using traditional printing and dyeing techniques. Please do not wash the rug immediately after receiving it. Allow the rug to settle and air naturally before cleaning.

Machine washable: only up to 2×8 ft or approx this size.

Large-size rugs are NOT suitable for domestic washing machines. When wet, large cotton rugs become extremely heavy and machine washing may cause color bleeding, shrinkage, creasing, stitching damage, distortion, or damage to the washing machine.

For large rugs, we strongly recommend professional rug cleaning or gentle hand cleaning only when necessary. Always use cold water, mild detergent, and never bleach, soak for long periods, or use hot water.

Some initial color release may occur with traditionally dyed and hand-block-printed textiles, particularly when incorrectly soaked or machine washed.

Color bleeding, shrinkage, deformation, stitching damage, or other damage resulting from washing contrary to these care instructions is considered washing/care damage rather than a manufacturing defect and is not eligible for refund or replacement, subject to applicable consumer law.

Important Note: This is a thin cotton rug handwoven on loom with cotton threads with a pile height of approx 0.25 to 0.3 inches , It is as soft as cotton. It is then printed with wooden blocks using vegetable colors.

1. This is a thin cotton rug handwoven in looms in India with a pile of 0.5 cm approximately

3. This rug does not come with any rug pad or mat

4. This rug is printed with handblocks using vegetable organic colors so there may be some subtle differences in patterns compared to online photos.

PLEASE NOTE: Do not machine-wash large rugs or wash the rug immediately after delivery. Large hand-block-printed cotton rugs should be professionally cleaned or gently hand-cleaned when necessary. Damage or dye bleeding caused by improper washing is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Note:
The rug is not machine-made but created using the traditional cotton hand block printing technique. Each print is stamped by hand with a carved wooden block, which naturally means lines will not be perfectly straight. The listing photos and videos clearly show this artisanal characteristic — it is part of the handmade charm and authenticity, not a flaw.

Note About Design and Patterns:
The online photos and videos use a smaller size rug for depiction. As rug sizes increase, artisans make careful adjustments in block placement to suit the larger proportions. The pattern itself is never changed unless a customer specifically requests it. What may look like a variation is actually the artisan’s way of balancing the design naturally with the block size in hand.

NOTE: Since these are handmade and hand-loomed so there is likely be slight imperfections possible. We have painstakingly gone through each one and am only selling the highest quality though keeping in mind that slight 'flaws' are part of their uniqueness.

Note: Due to packaging there are chances of subtle bumps and creases in the rug. You have to roll it up tightly overnight and need stretching by legs or hands to set up at the place you want to use it and it will be flat then smoothly.

“Beautiful rug and very unusual. Note it might not be color fast so be careful. I spot cleaned a spill and the blue ran a bit—I was able to clean most of it with white vinegar but be warned!”

Thanks for being so kind and for your purchase with us, We use organic vegetable colors and some of excess might go away with first wash however it will not bleed or fade further, this behavior is natural tendency of cotton and vegetable colors.
