Easy download and printout. I was so glad to find a tricorn hat pattern for a 3XL size head as the two I already had were way too small. I was fortunate to find a 2mm thick wool felt. I did not use the edge finishing method suggested. Instead of a stretch fabric, I sewed the edges together and turned them right side out, leaving a small space open to run a millinery wire through. I sewed a seam about 3/8" from the edge to keep the wire in place, hand sewed ribbon edging to the underside edge to show when the brim was turned upward. The hat looked great, but would have looked even better had the brim pieces been glued together, a step I skipped. I used cotton for a cool lining since we were in a heat wave, and sewed a wide ribbon inside for a finishing band. The hat fit perfectly and was comfortable, even in a heat wave.

I was absolutely thrilled with this pattern -- I love the instant download. Since it was a hat I was OK with printing on regular 8.5x11" paper and taping the pattern together. Wouldn't want to do that for a larger item. But Julie's directions and photo images are excellent. I had so much fun making a bicorn hat for Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast. I just went searching for an up close photo and can't find one! Anyway -- great experience and product.
