I love the perky look of this pot! I threw the form on the potters wheel and then added the spout and handle when the piece was leather-hard. The lid has a steam vent as well as a small notch to prevent it from sliding out as tea is poured. It was twice-fired with two overlapping glazes. The inside and top of the teapot are glazed in a shiny, creamy yellow, while the bottom two-thirds is glazed in a matte green. Where the two glazes overlap it turns to a shiny olive green.

This pot is large enough to use as a coffee pot or for the tea enthusiast as a teapot. It is 5.5 inches tall to the top of the lid knob and about 6.5 inches wide from the tip of the spout to the widest part of the handle. It holds a full 2 cups of liquid.

Always remember to warm up the pot with hot water before pouring boiling water into it. See my Shop Policies for additional Common Sense Cautions.

Please feel free to convo me if you have any questions.

Frequently asked questions about GlyntPottery

I will gladly make a custom order for you. Custom orders usually take 3 to 4 weeks. Depending on the time of year and where I am in the production cycle, orders may take up to 6 to 8 weeks. Personalized items that are not generic (e.g., Dad, Mama) require a 50 percent deposit. Payment for other custom orders is due at purchase.
If properly cared for stoneware can be enjoyed for a long time. Never place a dish on top of a burner or in a preheated (hot) oven. Instead, place room temperature dishes in a cold oven and gradually bring the heat up to the desired temperature. Dishes should be filled so food contacts all interior surfaces.

Teapots should be warmed with hot water before filling them with boiling water. The same is true for colanders: never pour boiling water directly into them.

Stoneware is microwave and dishwasher safe. However, please use care. Some items, such as berry bowls, might best be hand washed.
Because of the fragile nature of ceramics, I pack the items in several layers of bubble wrap before placing them in a box surrounded by biodegradable peanuts. In some cases, it is best to ship multiple items is separate boxes to prevent breakage.

I do not offer gift wrapping, but I can include a message to the gift recipient. The message will be printed in a script font in an appropriate blank card or the back of a Glynt Pottery postcard. Please let me know (in the message from buyer) if you are interested including a message with your gift.
