Description

This are so large that they would make super Valentine decor even up on a shelf or in a tablescape for your Valentine dinner. Fab bold graphics and colors!
Well this pair takes the cake for the oddest 2 pieces of Valentine ephemera I've come across! Both are large and came from a lot of Valentines from 20s, 30s, and 40s. The nice thick board on these is probably the reason they have made it thru 60 - 70 years. For about the price of two new Valentine cards, you get the vintage, unusual, and charming!
The first is a card that opens and is UNsigned inside but is signed on back. Measures 7" by 4 3/4" closed. Super bold graphics on front with a little shocked looking man with a big arrow thru him. He is dressed almost like "charlie chan" type with striped jacket and two toned shoes with bow tie. On inside says, "I was a woman hater, when one appeared I flew; Till cupid shot this dart at me, and bade me look at you." Gotta love that! Colors are bright and it is very clean. Has a crease on end of arrow, probably where it shot thru him. (: That is the only defect.
The second one is a also very large, measures 6 3/4" by almost 4". I suspect it was used in a game at a Valentine dinner or banquet. Maybe a bridge score card. It is shaped like a fan, you know the kind that has a handle. Beautiful valentine red on front with butterfly graphics. On the back is a score card and a place where it says "Table No." and "Couple No." There is a name on it. The name and score checks are in pencil so could be erased. The table number and couple number that are filled in are in ink. Crease in top of handle but it is sturdy and doesn't bend. This one is a thicker cardboard than the first.
These would be awesome on a Valentine tablescape or very different for a collection. Cute in a gift basket. Large enough to put on a shelf for decor.
Have other Valentines from 30s 40s in SeaSeaRider so check my ephemera section of my shop. Most are in superb condition.
Also offer many sea inspired items, art, other ephemera, original art, books, etc. Some great things for gifts! Also, some great ephemera for scrapbooking or crafts.

Shipping is for MAINLAND U.S. CONVO for HI or Alaska. I do try to discount shipping on multiples and also I DO SHIP OUTSIDE U.S. CONVO ME for either as chart below doesn't reflect.
